“Terry and his team just did an amazing job of our driveway, which was deliberately installed incorrectly 5 1/2 years ago by another company. Terry understood this and reduced our worries of repeat problems. We are so grateful to them all, working long days in extreme humidity and heat. Thank you…”

How it works

Simple from the first call.

Owner Terry O’Reilly, 17 years on the tools, quotes every job himself. No salesman, no pressure and no surprises on the last day.

  1. Send a photo. Ring Terry or WhatsApp a photo of the space, and he will reply with a rough idea and a day to visit.
  2. Free site visit. Terry measures up, checks the ground and where the water goes, then gives you one written price.
  3. We build it. Dug out, a proper stone base, the surface laid and the site swept clean every evening.

What it covers in full

Where we work

Milton Keynes and about fifteen miles around.

Terry knows these streets: the clay under the grid estates, the conservation areas in Stony Stratford and Olney, the short fronts on Bletchley's 1930s semis. The quote already allows for it.

All areas

Questions people ask Terry.

Do I need planning permission for a new driveway?

Usually not. In England, new or replacement paving in a front garden does not need permission if it is permeable (permeable block paving, resin bound on a permeable base, porous asphalt or gravel) or if the rain runs off to a lawn or border to soak away on your own land. Over 5 square metres of solid paving that drains to the road does need permission. Conservation areas and listed buildings can have extra rules, and a dropped kerb needs the council's approval. Terry tells you which applies when he visits.

How long does it take?

Most two-car drives take two to three days. Resin bound usually needs about 48 hours before you park on it. Patios and walls vary; Terry gives you a day count with the quote and aims to stick to it.

What happens if the water board digs it up?

Block paving can be lifted and relaid using the same blocks, and you will not see the join. That is one of the reasons we recommend it for most MK houses.

Do I need to be home while you work?

No. We need access to the front, water and power on the first day. Terry updates you by text or WhatsApp.

When can I park on it?

Terry tells you on the day. Block paving and tarmac are usually ready the day after we finish, and resin bound usually needs about 48 hours.

Is there a call-out charge for a quote?

No. Terry visits, measures and gives you a written price for free. There is a 14-day cooling off period on every quote and no pressure.
